SIPs Technology
Smart Building
Structural insulated panels (SIPs) are a high performance, environment friendly building system for residential and light commercial construction.
The panels consist of an insulating foam core, EPS*, sandwiched between two structural facings, typically oriented strand board (OSB)*.
Our SIPs are manufactured under factory controlled conditions and can be fabricated to fit nearly any building design.
The result is a building system that is extremely strong, energy efficient and cost effective. Building with SIPs will save you time, money and labour.
And an added bonus, this insulation core consists of 98% air and 2% chemical, therefore 100% recyclable.
Standard sizes are 2.440 x 1.220 x 70 mm - 320 mm.
Fire Rated 60 minutes.
We can also make to specification.
Price per 8 x 4 Panel
The construction sector is changing. Carbon efficiency and transparency increasingly drive investment and procurement choices, with Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs)* often supporting decision-making.
KEY ADVANTAGES OF SIPS
Environmentally Friendly insulation core and OSB faces made from sustainable forest resources.
Excellent Thermal Performance - U-value as low as 0.10 w/m²k, limited cold bridging and superior air tightness.
Save Construction Time And Cost -Engineered components. No more transporting wood, plywood, insulation.
No more cutting for studs. Save 70 % time building wall. External and Internal.
Space Design - Open habitable roof space could transform a 3-bed house to a 5-bed house for little extra cost.
Light-Weight Structural Strength - The average weight per m2 of a Structural Insulated Panel is 20 kg.
Fire resistance of 60 minutes.
Price per Panel. Select from drop down menu.
Intended working life of the construction product.
European technical assessment ETA 18/0312 – 01 – 2018-09-17
Provisions made in this European Technical Assessment are based on an assumed intended working life of the building kit for the intended use of:
− 50 years for the load-bearing structure and for non-accessible components and materials;
− 25 years for repairable or replaceable components and materials like cladding, roofing
materials and integrated components, e.g. doors and windows.
The kits should be maintained according to manufacturer recommendations to reach intended working life.
The indications given on the working life cannot be interpreted as a guarantee given by the kit manufacturer or the Technical Assessment Body, but are to be regarded only as a means for choosing the appropriate product in relation to the expected, economically reasonable working life of the works.
